Preview With Intent
Use real copy
Paste the actual paragraph you intend to set. Type behaves very differently in a long measure than it does in a headline.
Check the extremes
Push size to 100px+ and down to 14px. A face that only works at one size will fight your layout somewhere.
Mind the tracking
Large display type usually wants negative tracking; small uppercase labels want 0.1em or more. Test both ends of the slider.
